We are delighted that we won the PrintWeek Direct Mail Printer of the Year last night at Grosvenor House.

It’s the 5th time in 6 years!! Winning once is very enjoyable but consistency is the hardest thing of all.

We didn’t win the overall Printer of the Year but it is a privilege to be on the shortlist against some of the most respected companies in the industry. Just to have made a finalist means that we were down to the last 5 out of 12,000 or so printing companies in the UK.

A huge thank you to everyone involved at Geoff Neal Litho, it really is a team effort. This thank you is also extended to all of our suppliers without whom we couldn’t deliver some of the specialist finishes and products.

And last but not least we must thank our clients for their support and expertise that help us produce these exciting projects.

We’re really looking forward to the PrintWeek Awards on Monday night. It’s always a great night – lots to drink with friends, colleagues, suppliers and clients. We’re up for 2 awards – Direct Mail Printer of the Year and the grand prix award for Company of the Year!! We have everything crossed that we win; we really are up against some tough competition though! We’ll let you know how we do on Tuesday (with a headache!!)……

After what feels like about 8 years waiting (in real time it was only been 4 and a half weeks) our new XL has printed it’s first job!!

It feels like Christmas!!

We are delighted to have won this prestigious award at last night’s PrintWeek Award ceremony – this means that we have won it 4 years out of 5 and always against some very tough competition from high quality DM companies.

This consistency is so important to us – we want to keep improving and working to higher and higher standards. To be good once is reasonably easy. But to keep it up requires commitment, hard work and constant energy – attributes that the whole team at GNL aspire to.

But it is back to the grindstone now – we have to keep it up and try harder for next year!!

Our new wonder press is running – bang on schedule! The demonstrators had it running at full speed 18,000 sheets per hour today – and that sounded great! It’s been a very long 4 weeks to get to this point and now we are in the home stretch – just a week’s demonstration to go.

And to top it off Heidelberg confirmed that we are the closest XL 105 installation to the heart of the advertising world in London’s West End……now that can’t be a bad thing!

Heidelberg delivered our new SUPER press on Tuesday of this week. She is huge – she seems so much bigger and imposing in person.

The build is going to plan so far – only another three and half weeks to go and she’ll be running. We can’t wait!
